In response to this HBS Consulting is pleased to announce that we have acquired a controlling stake in SHC Consulting, a company which specialises in business development and marketing consulting in the Central and Eastern European sphere as well as Russia. Headquartered in Poznan, Poland, SHC Consulting has worked on numerous projects with HBS Consulting ranging from imaging application to diagnostics and wound care. This means that HBS Consulting is now able to offer the full range of our services in this region through local, highly trained staff
While we do not foresee an “explosion” in these markets immediately, we predict that these markets will grow aggressively in the next five years. Some healthcare companies, mainly in the pharmaceutical sector, have already made their move to transfer their business from small-scale distributor operations to either a direct or strong partnership level. This “first mover advantage” will undoubtedly pay handsome dividends in many cases. We are already assisting a number of our clients to build strategies for these markets and I hope that as you start to look at the new EU countries and beyond, you will consider drawing on our competences. On a similar note, our expansion of the HBS Consulting German office is now complete. Having doubled the size we have taken the opportunity to upgrade our research and analysis tools to the most modern available both in terms of hardware and software. Our clients will see the benefit in terms of faster project timings as well as even more sophisticated market research and strategy modelling options.
